Joyful Land Farm was started from the fire of passion built from family farm experience, our homestead purchase, the necessity of knowing where our food comes from and who grows it, and the desire to live more sustainably in all aspects of life.

 

We both grew up in homes where gardening and food preservation were part of the family culture, and we both have a rich ancestral agricultural history.   Teresa grew up on a family dairy farm and spent her summers working outside and creating adventures on the family's 198 acres.  Mike has readily adopted the farming lifestyle and is really shining, even though he did not grow up on a farm.  We both still work full-time off the farm to support our farm improvements and growth.  It's challenging to manage all the work, but we wouldn't have it any other way! ​

Our farming journey began in 2011, with the actual business being founded in 2017.  We love growing fresh, delicious, and nutritious food for ourselves and our community.​  We strive to rebuild our soil, steward our land, create a safe haven for wildlife and protect and enhance our farm for the coming generations.​
